James Roy Hudson, 69, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area and was the owner and operator of the Jami Bee Motel. He was an active member of the Jonesboro Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk. He served his country in the US Army. James was preceded in death by two sons, Chris and Matt Hudson and his parents, Lonnie and Van Hudson.
Survivors include sons, Jay Hudson (Jill); Rob Hudson (Annie) both of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Connor Hudson, Kendle Hudson, Evan Hudson, Harper Hudson and Mason Brodell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tommy Toombs officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bill French, Chuck Rizor, Kevin Higgins, Erin Johnson, Tom Elwood, and Chad Oldham, serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Tyner, Lee Tyner, Jerry Toombs, Roy Sherman, Gerald Hammond, and Members of the Elks Lodge #498. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
