James Thomas Hoffman

James Thomas Hoffman, 71 of Jonesboro, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

James was born September 16, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Carl W Hoffman & Beatrice T Hoffman. He married Cathy in October 1969 and enjoyed 51 precious years with her while raising their three boys, Tim, Tony, and Jason Lamb. James’s favorite thing was to spend time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and loved many years of laughter and love. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking. James worked hard to support his family. He had a very patient teacher and dear friend introduce him to carpentry, and as a result he became a master carpenter. Late in life he started a job at Arkansas Glass in Jonesboro and worked for many years. He was loved by many and will be missed.

James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard W Hoffman, Jerry C Hoffman, and Stanley P Hoffman; and sister, Carolyn S Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy of the home; sons, Tim Lamb of Bono, AR, Tony (Cathy) Lamb of Rockledge, FL, and Jason (BillieJo) Lamb of Little Rock, AR; sister Judy Mashburn of Batesville, AR; brother Donald (Misty) Hoffman of Walnut Ridge; many nieces of nephews; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home

Funeral Services begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Bill Willard officiating.
