James Leon Harris

James Leon Harris, 53 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Monday, September 28, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  He was born August 8, 1967.  James was of the Baptist belief and enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to auctions, trucks and playing with his grandchildren.  James is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Alma Rhea Harris of Jonesboro and sister, Jackie Simmons.

Survivors include his wife, Treona Harris of the home; daughters, Brittany (Al) Mays of Lake City, Katie Harris of Marion, stepdaughter, Amy Morris of the home; stepson, Nathan Morris of Nashville; sisters, Brenda (Jim) Tubbs of Jonesboro and Holly Wind of Jacksonville; 2 grandchildren, Jensen and Christopher.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10-11 AM in the stateroom of Emerson Funeral Home.  Graveside service will start at 11:30 AM at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Carl Massey speaking.

Pallbearers include Al Mays, Nathaniel Castleberry, Craig Reed, Tim McIntire, Quinton Near and Josh Adams.
