James Hughie Farley, Jr., 62, of Jonesboro died Monday, July 23, 2012 at his residence. Jim was born in Blytheville to the late James Hughie Farley, Sr. and late Virgie Ellen Hamilton. Jim lived most of his lifetime in Jonesboro, was the owner of Jim Farley’s Spray Service, and was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church (CBC).
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathy Farley of the home; his children, Sally Reynolds (Kevin) of Alexander, Jimmy Farley (Megan) of Jonesboro, and Caleb Farley (Brittany) of Franklin, TN; his step-father, Hi Hamilton of Bay; sisters, Linda Watts (Jerry) of Jonesboro, Dawniel McGuire of Memphis, TN, Tabitha Byrd (Matthew) of Pocahontas, and Heidi Napolitano (Justin) of Windemere, FL; and his grandson, Ryder Reynolds of Alexander.
The pallbearers are: Ben Pipher, Brian Greenwood, Steve Adair, Mark Schutzius, David Liles, Klayton Seyler, Adam Sartin, and O’Neal Jordan (the CBC senior boys of his Sunday school class of 2005). The honorary pallbearers are from his senior men’s Sunday school class at CBC.
He was a wonderful husband, father and paw-paw. He left a Godly legacy as an example for many generations to follow. Jim’s passion was sharing his love for the Lord Jesus Christ with everyone he met.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm Wednesday at CBC. His life will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday at CBC with Dr. Archie Mason officiating, Dan Reeves giving testimony, and Larry Bailey is giving the obituary. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorials to be made to Central Baptist Church, 3707 Harrisburg Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401, in lieu of flowers.
