James E. Coleman, 60, of rural Lake City, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at his home of natural causes.
Born in Jonesboro, James lived all of his life in the Lake City area. He worked several years at the Needham Cotton Gin and was of the Baptist belief. James enjoyed working in the yard and growing a vegetable garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Naomi Coleman.
Survivors include 1 son and his fiancé, Mitchell Coleman and Kristi Richter of the home;
2 daughters and their husbands: Tabatha and Benji Wright of Lake City, and Melissa and Brandon Haggenmacher of Jonesboro;
1 brother: Terry Coleman of Jonesboro;
1 sister: Carolyn Buckley of Jonesboro; and
5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brice Holmes officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 1-3 prior to the service.
