James L. Duffel

James L. Duffel, 90, of West Memphis died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Broadway Health Center in West Memphis. He had lived most of his life in the Jonesboro and West Memphis area. He was of the Southern Baptist belief. James had been a funeral director since 1953. His passion was the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Duffel; brothers, Aaron and W. A. Duffel and one great grandson, Caleb Twitty.

Survivors include his sons, Jim Duffel (Marcelle) of Greenbriar; Tommy Duffel (Dora) of Jonesboro; sister, Sharon Nichols (Stan) of West Memphis; sister, Malana Mackey of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren and ten great step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Scott Trayler officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family will serve as pallbearers. There will be no public visitation.
