James Ray “Blondie” Guntharp, 61, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at his home. He was born in Laura Town, Arkansas and was a member of the Community Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Edward Guntharp, and his sister Sharon Kay Guntharp.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ann Guntharp, of the home; son, Chad Jeffery Guntharp, Jonesboro; daughter, Tracy Jean Barnes, Ozark, Arkansas; Parents Millard David and Madeline Annabell Goza Guntharp, Jonesboro; brothers, General Guntharp, Pine Bluff; Garland Guntharp, Hoxie, Arkansas; Jackie Guntharp and Terry Guntharp, both of Jonesboro. Also surviving are four sisters, Milladean Shatswell, Jonesboro; Wilma Russell, Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; Judy Daly, Jonesboro; Linda Stotts, Gatewood, Missouri; grandchildren, Blake Flores, Annie Stickler, Erica Flores, Jayden Guntharp; great grandchildren, Kobe Flores and Karson Flores.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 28, 2007 at Community Fellowship Church with Pastor Dave Burgess officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Allen, Bobb Jennings, Jeff Harp, Warn Burns, Johnny Grissen, and Randy Homestead. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Thursday night at Community Fellowship Church.
