James Bere

James Roger Bere, 71, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Ralph and Ruth Bere.

James has lived in Jonesboro the past 18 years after having lived in Wisconsin, Illinois and Virginia. James worked for Chrysler Corp, Brinks Inc. and Frito Lay before retiring in 2008.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Bere; brother, Donald Bere; brother in law, Thomas Reed and daughter, Tammy Bere.

James is survived by daughter, Tina (Sean) McCasland of Jonesboro; son, Tony (Kristin) Bere of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; brothers, John (Jane) Bere of Lewisville, Texas, Kenneth Bere of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Grandson, Charles McCasland; granddaughter Jessica Bere and several cousins and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 21 ^st in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Richard Akin officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to service.

Friends and Family will be serving as pallbearers.
