James "Jim" Bearden

James “Jim” Bearden, 72, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Thursday, December 14, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  He was born on March 1, 1950 in Jonesboro, to James Leo and Geralene Bearden.  He was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.  He read his Bible often which brought comfort and enjoyment.  He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sons, Matt Bearden and wife Meagan; Blake Bearden all of Jonesboro; daughters, Melissa Butler and husband Billy of Russellville, Arkansas; Shana and husband, Caleb of Bono; mother of his children, Sheila Bearden; brother, Gary Bearden and wife Debbie of Jonesboro; sisters, Reta Oden and husband, Randy; Janet Conrad and husband James, all of Jonesboro; Sharon Eads of Piedmont, Missouri; grandchildren, Addison Brooke Butler Lane Butler, Sophia Bearden, Maggie Wall, Cora Wall and Imogen Wall.
