James Franklin Ball, 95 of Monette past from this life Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. James was born to Ben and Vera Lamb Ball on January 29, 1929 in Monette. He worked as a farmer and U.S. Postal worker. James was a proud veteran who served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, AP Service Ribbon and Four Bronze Service Stars. James was a member of Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature, being a farmer, new adventures and especially his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, 2 daughters and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Hicks (Gary) of Jonesboro; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Monette Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Bro. Mike Martin officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation.
