James Paul Bailey

James Paul Bailey, 65, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, October 4, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He has lived in Jonesboro since 2006. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on November 29, 1959, to James Alford and Laura Bailey. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Seargent in Communications. He was very active after Hurricane Catrina rescuing, rebuilding, and serving victims in Mississippi, where he was stationed. As a musician he enjoyed playing guitar, especially classic rock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Bailey.

Survivors include his sister, Sandra Blair and husband John; nieces, Maggie Sullivan and husband, Bret; Season Pankey and husband, Sayer; great nieces, Madison Snyder and husband Bret; Piper Pankey, and Blair Sullivan; great nephew, Mason Pankey; great great niece, Letty Kay Snyder.
