Jacqueline Sims

Jacqueline (Jackie) Gail Sims,  59 of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, October 18, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  She was born in Florida, July 19, 1962 to the late James Conkin and Lurean Miller Conkin.  Jackie worked at NEA Baptist Hospital and was also of the Baptist belief.  She loved spending time with family, her grandchildren and friends.    Jackie was a hard worker who enjoyed walking, crafting and collecting porcelain dolls.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, aunts and uncles.

Survivors include 4 sons; Ira Dwayne Smith of Harrisburg, Chris (Heather) Smith of Wheatley, Roy Sims III of Harrisburg and Marcus (Whitney) Sims of Jonesboro; 1 daughter, Barbara (Wesley) Ellis of Jonesboro; 1 brother, James Conkin of Angleton, Texas; 3 sisters, JoAnn (David) of Fayetteville, Carla Browning of Clarendon and Patricia Ann (Junior) Walker of Stuttgart; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel.  Service will start at 2:00 PM with Chaplin Claudia Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Patrick Walker, Stacy Elliot, Wesley Ellis, Spencer Smith, Chester Markcum and Marcus Sims.
