Jacqueline H. Bowman

Jacqueline “Jackie” Helen Bowman, 74, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Bernards Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Jackie was born on February 27, 1942 to the late Harrell F. and Margaret French Miller in the outer rural area in Greene County. Jackie lived almost all of her life on the same hill in rural Craighead County. She and her late husband, Tommy Bowman owned and operated Bowman Concrete until their retirement. She was a member of the Brookland Church of Christ. Jackie enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Bowman; one son, Michael R. Bowman; one brother, Jerald Miller; and one sister, Norma Pemberton.

Jackie is survived by her three daughters, Deniseia (Randall) Mayhan, Dianna (Patrick) Long, and Michelle (Joseph) Brown; three brothers, Herbert Miller, Lester Miller all of Jonesboro, and Keith Miller of San Antonio, TX; four sisters, Verna Goodrich, Melba Warren, Sharon Allred, and Cynthia Jennings all of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Emmons of Beaumont, TX, Maverick Emmons, Kyle Bowman both of Jonesboro, Candice Adams of Crawfordsville, Koressa Avant of Jonesboro, Shawn Long of Paragould, Mika Savanna Bowman, Tyler Long, and Allison Brown all of Jonesboro; four great grandchildren, Bianca Cummings, Felicia and Logan Lawrence, and Jared Bowman all of Jonesboro; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 23, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Brookland Church of Christ with Lloyd Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be Sunday night from 6-8pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brad King, maverick Emmons, Blake Goad, Tyler Long, Brandon Avant, and Kevin Adams.

Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Long and Kyle Bowman.
