Jacob Alexander Gooding

June 7, 1990 — September 19, 2016

Jacob Alexander Gooding, 26, of Noblesville, Indiana went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Monday, September 19 2016.

Jacob had a contagious smile and a sense of humor (and candor) that everyone immediately noticed. He loved NASCAR, the Broncos, Bradford Woods Camp, traveling and his service dog, McCovey. Jacob’s travels included meeting Jeff Gordon on a Make-A-Wish trip, touring the Harley factory in Pennsylvania, visiting the I-80 truck stop, and most recently getting his kicks on route 66.

Jacob especially loved working at the White River Christian Church Food Pantry and Church office. He also took pride in working at the Ram Restaurant. Jacob knew where his eternity was, is fully healed, and “didn’t mind going to Heaven.” Today, there is rejoicing in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Lands.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Toni (Lands) Gooding; father, Rich Dawn) Gooding; step-sister, Brooke (Andrew) Altshul; maternal grandfather, Lawrence Lands; paternal grandparents, Jack Gooding and Betty Gooding; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends and his service dog, McCovey.

While his surviving family and friends will so miss him, they look forward to reuniting in Heaven.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:30 am in Oaklawn Cemetery with Tad Rogers officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am prior to the service at Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canine Companions for Independence, 4989 State Route 37 East, Delaware, OH 43015; or, White River Christian Church Food Pantry, 1685 North 10th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
