Jackson Tyler Morris

November 15, 1995 — May 24, 2009

Jackson Tyler Morris, 13, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at his home. Born in Jonesboro, he was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 7th grade student at Westside Junior High and a member of the Oak Grove 4-H Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and football. He held several winning 4-H titles. He had received a 4-H Public Speaking Award and was the winner of the 4-H District Chicken Cook-Off.

He is survived by his parents, Jack & Misty Morris, Bono; Kim & Devin Tate, Jonesboro; sisters, Emily Faith Morris, Rileigh Ray Tate; grandparents, Terry & Margaret Moody, Jonesboro, Leroy & Cathy Morris, Norfork, Bruce & Valerie Carr, Jonesboro, Connie Holloday and Bruce Wilson, Jonesboro. He also leaves his great grandparents, Arnetta Tubbs, Jonesboro, Alfered & Ivaline Moody, Jonesboro, Hazel Morris, Stuttgart, Helen Parker, Jonesboro, Carl & Ethyl Tate, Bono, Mary & Eddie Klingensmith, Jonesboro, Gwen Feree, Colorado; great great grandmother, Eural Moore, Jonesboro; his loving aunts and uncle, Jennifer & Stephen McCormick, Jonesboro, Leslie Morris, Fayetteville; and his cousins, Abby & Sadler McCormick.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Ray Tate.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Zach Gilliam and Wyndell King officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Jerred Tubbs, Jace Tubbs, Jeffrey Tubbs, Dustin Tubbs, Daniel Tubbs, Josh Carr, Rodney McClain, and Blain Gibbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be the 2009 7th grade class from Brookland, 2009 7th grade class at Westside Junior High, Oak Grove 4-H Club Members, and all his friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
