Jackie Denton Reeves

December 30, 1932 — November 25, 2021

Mrs. Jackie Denton Reeves, was born December 30th, 1932 to Luther Eli and Frances Denton, as the 7th of 8 children. She departed this life on November 25th, 2021 after an extended illness. She married her high school sweetheart, Lonnie Reeves, on May 16, 1951.

Jackie was an active member of Bay Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She worked as principal’s secretary at Bay High School for over 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Reeves; four sisters: Venita Sullivan, Lou Wana Carver, Lataine Ezell, Eloise Webb; three brothers: Ancel Denton, Virgil Denton, and L.E. Denton Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Teresa Isbell of Bay, her son Kent Reeves (MaryBeth) of Marshall, TX, a special sister-in-law Goldie Heath of Bay, a special caregiver Jimmy Fleeman of Monette, AR, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services held at Bay Church of Christ on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at 10:00 am with a visitation prior to the funeral at 9:00 am . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bay Church of Christ.

Pallbearers are: Steve Denton, Greg Denton, Steve Hickey, David Byrd, Ben Towery, and Gary Nix.

Honorary pallbearers are: Henry Rogers, Donnie Davis, and Jimmy Fleeman.
