Jack E. Bower

January 1, 1937 — April 5, 2024

Jack E. Bower, 87, of Jonesboro, went to be with his Lord on April 5, 2024.  He was born to Harold and Valda Bower on January 1, 1937, in Argos, Indiana.  He and his wife moved to Jonesboro in 1973.  He was a member of the Cathedral Baptist Church.  Jack served his country in the US Navy as an aviator during the Vietnam War.  After retiring as a career Naval Aviator, he continued his education, received his master's and specialist degrees, and worked for the Craighead County Education Co-operative.  He was a valued member of the Jonesboro Police Reserve program.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Diane.

His survivors include his son, Jack E. Bower, II, and wife Whitney from Little Rock, and his granddaughter, Laney Bower.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Yadkin Cemetery near Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. Ken Beaver will officiate, and Emerson Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. Friends and family will be pallbearers.
