Jack Alexander, 74, of Monette, passed away Wednesday May 30, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
He was born in Craighead Co. and had lived in Monette for eleven years, moving there from Memphis, Tenn.
He was a retired Sales Manager for Harcros Chemical Company in Memphis, Tenn. and was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents Justus Alexander and Mary White Alexander; three brothers, Elbert, Lafonso and Howard Alexander; and three sisters, Lela Cole, Audrey Teague and Justica Bray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Alexander of the home.
One son, Jay Alexander, of Newbern, Tennessee.
Two daughters, Marcie Wright of Southaven, Mississippi. Diana Gowen and her husband John of Corinth, Mississippi.
One brother, Dan Alexander of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Two sisters Lazeta Causey of Katy, Texas Lavada Hardin of Salem, Arkansas.
Eight grandchildren and Eight great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2, at the Community Fellowship Church, with Pastor Rex Holt and Pastor Dave Burgess officiating with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday June 1, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Ben Gowen, Brandon Gowen, Michael Wright, Jake Alexander, Josh Alexander, Luke Lothenore, Jay Alexander and Charles Teague.
