Jabo Verlin Lamberson

Verlin “Jabo” Lamberson, 80, of Bay, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was a lifelong member of the Bay community, a member of the Bay Church of Christ, and retired member of the Bay Fire Department. He worked at General Electric for 35 years before retiring and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lamberson, his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Lamberson; daughter, June Lamberson Towery and husband James, Bay; daughter in law, Jane Lamberson, Jonesboro; one sister, Bonnie Holloway, Bay; five grandchildren, April, Ben, Blake, Josh, and Brett; six great grandchildren, Brooke, Brenden, Tiffany, Kristen, Kolby, and Kolin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 10, 2009, at the Church of Christ at Bay with Tim Wilkes and Marvin Rickett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Gary Lamberson, Michael Lamberson, Dennis Holloway, Rickey Holloway, Russell Hall and Terry Don Hall serving as pallbearers.
