J C Hall, Sr.

J C Hall, Sr., 78, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday afternoon at his home. Born in Mississippi, he had lived in Jonesboro for more than 50 years. He was the owner/operator of J C Hall Auto Sales and was known as a workaholic. He was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by his sons, Jay Hall, Jr., J.T. Hall, Jimmy Hall; daughters, Vickey Baney, Mary Dorton, Diane Wilson, all of Jonesboro; brothers, Jack Hall, Mississippi, Floyd Hall, of Jonesboro; sisters, Christine Hoft, Imigene James, Wilma Trammell, Ellen Horne, all of Jonesboro; 19 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Jane Hall and his parents, James V. & Minnie Gilley Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Donnie Thomas, Teddy Hall, Ty Adams, Carl Braggs, Terry Ward, and Darrol Vaughn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Owen Lovins, Dennis Long, Jonny Duffell, Keith Render, Gerald Gregory, James Holloway, Lewis O’Neal, Terry Gooden, Hillard Holcomb, Jim Turner, Jr., and Don Stevens.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
