Iwanda Imogene Layne

Iwanda Imogene Layne, 80, of Jonesboro, died Monday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Paragould, Mrs. Layne lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She was retired from Frolic Footwear with 30 years of service and was a Baptist. Mrs. Layne was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Gene Layne; by a great grandson: Trey Haney; by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include:
1 Son: Ronnie D. Layne of Jonesboro;

3 Daughters: Gloria Grisham,
Karen Sanders, and
Tammy Arias, all of Jonesboro;

5 Grandchildren: Marjorie Faulkner of Memphis,
Stacey Haney of Hardy,
Shane Minton of Jonesboro,
Sarah Layne of Valley Park, Missouri, and
Emily Layne of Jonesboro;

5 Great Grandchildren; and

1 beloved granddog: "Pooh."

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jerry Muckensturm officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers include: Shane Minton, Tracy Haney, Jerry Honey, Jerald Haun, Troy Thompson, and Terry Sanders.

Honorary pallbearers include: Abel Arias and Layne Minton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 at Emerson Funeral Home.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
