Isabel Wilfert

Isabel Wilfert, 95, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born April 11, 1917 near the Paul Switch Community north of Bono to the late Samuel F. & Dora Alice Goodman Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Wilfert; sisters, Helen Earls, Olive Richardson, Vivian Trimble, and Willa Howard; brothers, Woodrow Barnes and Samuel F. Barnes, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Joe Hopkins of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Wilfert was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro. Special thanks go to her dear friends, Fran Graves and Pat Burnett for their loving help and support during her long illness.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be private.
