Iris L. Johnson

Iris Luella Johnson, 67, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, October 28, 2019, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Bellville, Illinois, Iris worked several years in administrative assistance for Virgo Chemical Corporation and was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Iris was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Corey and Carolyn Doner of Bellville, Illinois;
2 sisters and brother-in-law: Sheila and Byron Vowell of Jonesboro, and Rosemary Bradley of Indiana;
4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 preceding the funeral service.

Owen Vowell, Wayne Vowell and Eric Thomas will serve as pallbearers.
