Imogene Veal, 80 of Jonesboro, died Friday at her caregiver’s home. She lived in Jonesboro most of her life. Imogene was a member of the Trumann Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and attended Calvary United Pentecostal Church for the last couple of years. She was a homemaker and loved fishing.
Imogene is preceeded in death by her husband, Rev. James W. Veal; parents John and Cora Mae Purnell; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors include 3 daughters; Diann Carson of Henderson, Tn; Martessia Morphis of Trumann; and Becky Perkins (Joe) of Jonesboro and her twin brother Benny Eugene Purnell. 7 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 27 from 5-7 pm at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Service will be Monday, May 28 at 10:00 am at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ellis Marshall and Bro. Darrell Runyan officiating. Burial will be at Nettleton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Carson, Daniel Carson, Ryan Carson, Harold Brasfield, Joseph Perkins and John Wilson.
