Imogene Johnson, 82, of Jonesboro, died Thursday at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Born in Biggers, she had lived in Northeast Arkansas her entire life. After she married, she and her husband operated a grocery store in O’Kean. She was a retired Note Clerk from Mercantile Bank and loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sports activities. She was a member of the Fisher Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Lana Johnson, Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Jill (Doug) Pierce, Jeremy Johnson; and great grandchildren, Abby Pierce, Elliott Pierce, and Riley Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bud Johnson; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Graveside services will Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Doug Pierce officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 -2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
