Imogene Joseph "Jo" Snodgrass, 93, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, at her home.
Born in Black Rock, Jo moved to Jonesboro in 1956 and lived most of her life here. She was a graduate of Arkansas State College and was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband in his dental practice. Jo was a member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Fern Waldron Joseph, her husband, Dr. J.W. Snodgrass, her brother, Dr. Ralph Joseph, and an infant sister, Glenda Joseph who died on February 13, 1922.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. Scot and Beth Snodgrass of Jonesboro and Stan and Janet Snodgrass of Greenwood;
2 grandchildren: Sam (Megan) Snodgrass and Sarah Snodgrass; and
her canine granddog, "Rogers."
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church, 801 S. Main St., Jonesboro, with Rev. John Miles and Dr. Tad Rogers officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Private burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park. Visitation will precede the memorial service from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the Atrium at First United Methodist Church.
The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to caregivers Ginger, Pam and Susie for the excellent and compassionate care given to Jo over the past four and half years. It is deeply appreciated.
