Imogene Douglas, 87, of Harrisburg passed from this life Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born March 6, 1931 in Harrisburg to the late W.F. and Alma Volner. Imogene was a founder and member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and helping others. Imogene retired from Johansen Shoe Factory as an Inspector after several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Douglas; brother, J.R. Volner; son, David Douglas and granddaughter, April Bennett.
Survivors include her sons, Roger and Michael Douglas both of Harrisburg; brothers, Tommy Volner of Hammond, Indiana and Billy Volner of Harrisburg; sisters, Nancy Cox of Minnesota and Patsy Johnson of Illinois; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Cross Chapel Baptist Church in Harrisburg with Paul Peters officiating.
Burial will be private.
