Hunter Colby Thorne

Hunter Colby Thorne, 22 of Alpharetta, Georgia, went to be with the Lord, March 20, 2013 while at his home. He passed away from this life while in the loving arms of his MiMi. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Hunter was born December 7, 1990 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Survivors include mother, Tamasa Thorne Russell; sister, Summer Russell all of Jonesboro; grandparents, Mary Thorne of Georgia, Tommy and Nina Thorne of Jonesboro; Uncle David (Janie) Thorne of Jonesboro; and Aunt Cassie Neely (Bryson) of Batesville, and numerous other family members.

His closest cousins, Brandy Hughes, Michael Hughes, Whitney Taylor, and Taylor Thorne. Special friends, Michael and Matthew and Tim Japps.

Service will be Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:00 am at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bruce Tippit and Kathy Holler officiating. Burial will follow at Friendly Hope Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers include Whitney Taylor, Summer Russell, Michael Japps, Matt Japps, Tim Japps, Wayne Russell. Honorary Pallbearers include David Japps, Tommy James, Alan Brewer and Jerry Bozarth.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2013 from 2-4 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
