Hoyt Allen Vanoven

Hoyt Allen VanOven, 21, of Pocahontas passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. He was born March 24, 1997 in Jonesboro. Hoyt was a member of Ravenden Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting, fishing, the river, cars and being a jokester.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Payton and Aunt, Kelly Shoebottom.

Survivors include his father, Tilton (Onisca) VanOven of Blytheville; mother, Jamie Payton of Jacksonville; son, Eastyn Gene VanOven of Pocahontas; brother Jason Jones of Blytheville; sisters, Elizabeth (Jon) Spohr of Batesville, Brittany (Allen) Belote of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and several grandparents, aunts, uncles and other friends and family.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jim L. VanOven Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
