Howard M. Thomas, 81, of Wynne, died Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was a lifetime resident of Wynne and was born on August 3, 1943, to Willis and Maggie Thomas. He served in country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He served on two different tours to Vietnam. He retired from the Cross County Road Department. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, James Lee and Matthew; his daughter, Norma Jean; sister, Rosie Jenkins, and brothers, Otha Lee, Homer, and Vernie Wayne.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Yeargain and husband Joseph of Jonesboro; his son, John (Sharon) of Wynne; a daughter-in-law, Robin of Wynne; his grandchildren, Jayson, Allyssia, Johanna, Mary Catherine, Samuel, Ashley (Austin), Elizabeth (Charlie), and Allison (Hershel); his great-grandchildren, Wesley, Bennett, Nolan, Carson, Aspen, and Max; nieces and nephews, Ruby Jenkins, Hershel Jenkins, Michael Jenkins Dylan Jenkins and many more.
