Jonesboro

Homer Dale Woods, 49, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on December 21, 1975, in Memphis, Tennessee, Homer lived a life marked by loyalty, love for his family, and a generous spirit.

Homer was a devoted father to his children: Halie Williams, Nathan Williams, Aiden Williams and Hannah Woods. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to Leland Williams. His deep love for his children was evident to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Norris, and his stepfather, Larry Norris. Homer maintained close bonds with many relatives throughout his life, including Micheal Jackson, Lena Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Peggy Grant, Rick Grant, Thomas Robison, and Crystal Powers. His circle of friendship was equally strong and enduring; among his closest friends were Hugh Wooten, April Williams, Cecily Boyd, and David Loyd.

Homer found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing—often finding peace and reflection by the water—and he dedicated time to volunteering for the state. Can't forget about WWE. Above all else, he treasured moments spent with family. Whether gathered around a table or sharing stories outdoors with a Mountain Dew or Dr Pepper in hand—his ever-present companions—Homer’s presence brought warmth and laughter.

Those who knew Homer remember him as a loyal man with an amazing soul. His kindness left lasting impressions on everyone he met. Though he has departed this world too soon, the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

May his memory never be forgotten
