Holly Darnall

Holly Elizabeth Barr Smith Darnall, 73, of Bono passed from this life on Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was born in Cash to the late Grover and Bessie Barr on January 3, 1944. Holly was a very friendly person who enjoyed talking to strangers, playing cards, cooking, crafting, and camping across the country. But Holly really enjoyed her family above all other things, especially her grandkids. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, George Smith Sr.; late husband, Terry Darnall; brother, Gail Barr; and sister, Jaquetta Barr.

Holly is survived by her son, George Smith Jr. (Sherry) of Walcott; daughters, Sherry Stich (Steve) of League City, Texas and Awanna Smith of Jonesboro; step-daughters, Lisa Weiand of Hardy and Shannon Palmer of Pocahontas; brother, Gary Barr of Egypt; sisters, Peggy Kain (Charles) of Jonesboro, Kay Best (John) of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas, and Rebecca Barr (Jim Hance) of Watauga, Texas; mother-in-law, Evelee Darnall. Holly also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Greg Rainwater officiating. Burial will follow at Worley Cemetery in Cash with the active pallbearers being Kevin Barber, Michael Hawkins, Troy Best, Kenny Flemon, Fred Niemeyer, and Morris Watkins. The honorary pallbearer will be John Best and Greg Beavers.

The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3.
