Herman Joseph Schneider

Herman Joseph Schneider, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born on May 31, 1944, in Jonesboro to the late Lawrence Schneider Sr. and Eva Frangenberg Schneider.

Herman dedicated many years of his working life as a machinist at Lincoln Manufacturing until the plant closed. He later joined St. Bernards Medical Center, where he faithfully served as a security guard until his retirement.

Herman found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He especially enjoyed traveling the scenic highways with his brother, taking in the beauty of nature while his brother photographed the wildflowers along the way. He will be remembered for his quiet spirit, strong work ethic, and love for family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Schneider Jr. and Paul Schneider; and his sisters, Sister Beatrice Schneider, Mary Ritter, and Sister Eileen Schneider.

He is survived by his brother, Albert Schneider (Judy) of Little Rock; his sisters, Jo Schneider of Little Rock, Virginia Roy (Martin) of Little Rock, Terri Burnside of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Ruth Giddens (LeRoy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation/Rosary at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro Wednesday July 8th 12:00PM and Mass starting at 1:00PM. Reception to follow.
