Herman "Bud" Clyde Ridge Jr.

Herman “Bud” Clyde Ridge Jr., 71, of Lake City passed from this life on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the NEA Baptist Hospital. Bud was born in Jonesboro on November 10, 1946, to the late Herman and Pauline Blunt Ridge Sr. Bud had lived in Lake City for 18 years, moving there from Jonesboro and was a member and elder of the Higher Trails Cowboy Church in Paragould.

Bud retired from the U.S. Marines where he served in Vietnam War and had received several metals and ribbons including the Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Metals, Combat Action Ribbon and the Gallantry Cross w/palm and frame. He also recruited his son, Jeffery in the Marine. Bud was a District Commander, Commander and Quarter Master for the V.F.W.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James “Gypsy” Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Ridge of the home.

Sons, Jeffery B. Ridge (Kim) of Lake Dallas, Texas and Christopher D. Ridge of Sedgwick, Ar.
Daughters, Sarah Crutchfield of Ash Flat, and Candace Timms of Lake City.
Sister, Ella Losli (Stan) of Henderson, Nevada.

8 grandchildren, Caden Wyatt Ridge, Seth Dawson Ridge, Briana Nicole Crutchfield, Jasmine Lee Crutchfield, Thomas Carl Crutchfield, Haven Grace Timms, Jacob Benjamin Timms, and Eden Brooke Timms.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Higher Trails Cowboy Church 9728 Highway 358 West Paragould, Arkansas with Ricky T. Owens officiating. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
