Herbert Crabtree

Herbert Crabtree, 81, of Springfield, Missouri, died Monday, June 04, 2018 at Cox Medical Center. He had lived in Springfield since 2011, moving there from Jonesboro.  He was born and raised in Cave City, moving to Jonesboro in 1952.  He was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason.  Herb was a loving and hardworking father.  His hobbies included fishing and working in the yard, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his son, Mark Crabtree (Tammy) of Springfield; Dana Showalter (Don) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Nathan Crabtree, Brandon Crabtree, Ryan Crabtree, Jacob Showalter and Sarah Showalter; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Pine Log Cemetery with Brother Stan Ballard officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  There will be no public visitation.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
