Helen Schenk

Helen P. Schenk, age 94 of Jonesboro, passed away from this life Monday, March 17, 2014 at Jonesboro Health Care.

She was born January 28, 1920 in Rector Arkansas to Collie Boyd and Edna Clare Williams Smith. Helen was united in marriage to Raymond William Schenk of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray and son Dan; 6 brothers and 6 sisters; one grandson Eric William.

Helen had worked for the state of Arkansas serving as county clerk for Mississippi county. In her free time she loved working outdoors. Helen was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ.

Helen is survived by her son Jan and his wife Pat of Lebanon, Missouri; sister Neal Schoessel of Jacksonville, AR; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro followed by a graveside service at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
