Helen Prescott

Helen Ruth Prescott, 81 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Saturday November 2, 2013 at the Walnut Ridge nursing and rehab center. Helen was born in Bono to Dave Tate and Callie Rogers Tate. She originally came from Bono and spent the majority of her life residing here in Jonesboro. Helen spent most of her life being a homemaker and she was also a member of Immanuel Missionary Church.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Prescott of many years and her parents; three brothers: Clifford Tate, Paul Tate, and Bonnie Tate; Two sisters: Freda Coleman and Grace Ball.

Surviving relatives include one son: Randall Prescott of Jonesboro; two daughters, Brenda Johnson of Jonesboro and Phyllis Prescott of Jonesboro; two sisters: Myrtie Williamson of Jonesboro, Alma Hawkins of Quitman; Three grandchildren: Timothy Prescott, Kellie Underwood, and Mark Brewer; One great grandchild: Katelyn Underwood.

Graveside services will be Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 1 P.M. at Philadelphia Cemetery with Terry Joe Key Officiating. Emerson Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday November 4, 2013 from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home.
