Helen Johnson

Helen Johnson, 83, of rural Jonesboro, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at her residence from injuries sustained in a home-invasion.

Born in Leachville, Helen lived much of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Helen enjoyed attending dances and working in her yard. She also loved to crochet, sew and make quilt tops.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Johnson, by her parents, Clary and Delta Benton Sneed, and by her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a granddaughter and her husband, Kattie and Steve Granger of Pocahontas; and by 3 nephews: Ronnie, Donnie and Lonnie Sneed, all of California.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in Pine Log Cemetery with Ron Hammond officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.- 1:15 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
