Helen Marie Holifield Watts, 57, of Bay, died Wednesday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Blytheville, Mrs. Watts moved to Paragould at a young age and moved to Bay in 1972. She worked several years as a purchasing manager for Wickes Lumber Company, Baldwin Piano and Optus, Inc. before becoming disabled.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bay, the Bay Athletic Booster Club and was active in community affairs. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Holifield and a brother, Jimmy Holifield.
Survivors include her husband, Charles (Buddy) Watts of the home;
1 daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca and Steve Pritchett of Bay;
Her mother: Helen Holifield of Blytheville;
2 brothers and their wives: Chester Dewayne and Penny Holifield of Blytheville, and Joe and Sue Holifield of Paragould;
2 sisters and brother-in-law: Dean Hartwick of Blytheville, and Glenda and Frank Jones of Suffolk, Virginia; and
2 grandsons: Drew Sartin and Tyler Pritchett.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Vernon Davison, Kenny Vestal, Ronnie Davis Jackie Knight, Elbert Bradford, and Billy Timmons;
Honorary pallbearers include: Mark Duckworth, Brian Duckworth, and fellow co-workers at Optus, Inc.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
