Helen Dorris

Helen Dorris, 92 of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, December10, 2018 at Craighead County Nursing Center.  She was born in Lake City on March 18, 1926 to Bert and Tessie Gregson.  Helen retired from DuPont where she worked as a secretary.  She loved gardening and flowers.  She was family oriented and loved her relationship with the Lord and her family.  She was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Dorris; daughter Janis Dorris Brown; brothers Lloyd Gregson, Leon Gregson, Marion (Butch) Gregson; sisters, Ludean Gregson Harrison and Loma Gregson Garner.

Survivors include a sister, Frances Dawson of Bono; several nieces and nephews and her wonderful friend Irene Moody.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 1-2 PM followed by a service at 2:00 PM with Doug Welborn officiating at Emerson Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers include Caleb Edgar, Dustin Edgar, Kyle Dawson and Bill Goodson.
