Hector M. Trujillo, 80, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at his home of natural causes.
Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, Hector lived 13 years in Rhode Island before moving to Jonesboro 4 years ago. He was a retired thoroughbred horse trainer and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Hector was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed wood working and building things. He was preceded in death by a son, Manolo Trujillo.
Survivors include 2 sons: Eliezer Trujillo and his wife Gina of Gaunabo, Puerto Rico, and Hector Valentin of Orlando, Florida;
6 daughters, Victoria Trujillo of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ivonne Trujillo of Miami, Florida, Sonia Trujillo of Puerto Rico, Wanda Manso and her husband Genaro of Providence, Rhode Island, and Maritza Trujillo and her husband Bill Cote, and Carmen Trujillo all of Jonesboro;
One sister, Juana Trujillo of New York, 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 in Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Father Jack Vu officiating. Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.
