Hazel Davis

Hazel Davis, 76, of Monette, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, at her home of natural causes.

Born in Newport, Hazel lived in Lake City before moving to Monette three years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Liz Hembrey Benton.

Survivors include 5 children and their spouses:
Patsy Harris and husband Ronnie of Caraway; twins Larry and Garry Davis and Garry’s wife Connie, all of Caraway, and twins Dennis Davis and Debbie Rhodes and their spouses Tina Davis and Mike Rhodes all of Black Oak. (Dennis and Debbie were born on Larry and Garry’s 2nd birthday.)

Also surviving are one brother, J.N. Benton of Trumann, and one sister, Opal Cook of Black Oak; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in Monette Cemetery with Eddie Dunigan officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
