Hazel Brown

Hazel Brown, 81, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at her daughter’s home. . She was born in Wynne, Arkansas on October 21, 1934 to the late George and Elizabeth Fleet Sartain. Hazel lived in Jonesboro since 1973, moving here from St. Charles, Illinois. She was a retired cashier from Wal-Mart and attended the First Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Waymon Brown, 2 brothers; James and Charles Sartain.
Survivors include her daughters; Delores Montgomery (Shelby) and Deborah Yates all of Jonesboro.

Brothers; Bob Sartain, Bill Sartain and Albert Sartain all of Jonesboro.

Sister; Stella Pieri of Jonesboro.

4 grandchildren; Matt Montgomery of Memphis, Tenn, Traci Vojta of Bay, Britney Hall of Trumann and David Yates of Paragould. 4 great grandchildren; Ayden Vojta, Shelbi Vojta, Makynzee Hall and Madyson Hall.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday January 2, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday January 1, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Sartain, Nathan Coggin, Joey Boyd, Anthony Vojta, Shelby Montgomery and Michael Yates.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Sartain.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
