Harold James “Crackerjack” Polsgrove, 70, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.
Born in Leachville, James lived much of his life in Jonesboro. He served 6 years in the Navy and 4 years in the Army. After his military service, he was a truck driver in the Jonesboro area.
James was a volunteer in the Bono Senior Life Center and assisted many area citizens with their errands. He was an internet chat room enthusiast and enjoyed singing with the karaoke. James was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Polsgrove, by a sister, Frankie Brewer, and by his parents: Frank and Earmel Barnes Polsgrove.
Survivors include his companion, Shelia Moore of the home;
1 daughter: Candi Wheeler of Jonesboro;
2 sons: Robby Polsgrove of Bay, and Brandon Bryant of Jonesboro;
3 sisters: Nora Mae Vaughn of Jonesboro, Melba Hawkins of Leachville, and
Carrol Dement of Bono;
8 grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
