Harold J. Mcdaniel

Harold J. McDaniel, 89, of Jonesboro, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at his home of natural causes.

Born in the Ridge Station community of Craighead County, Harold lived much of his life in the Jonesboro area. He was a long-time auto mechanic and operated H and M Garage on Union Street and later in Brookland for many years. He was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ and served as an elder there for 27 years.

Harold was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and enjoyed fishing and hunting deer, quail and turkey. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Linda McDaniel, and by nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Wava McDaniel of the home;

2 sons and daughter-in-law: Mickey McDaniel, and Kim and Rhonda McDaniel, all of Jonesboro.

2 grandchildren: Kimberly Lynn Sanders and Roger Kale McDaniel.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Allen Ashlock and David Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Earl Gunn, Coy London, Bill Lester, Randy Simpkins, Randall Nelms and Danny Wallis.

Visitation will be held Monday from 12 noon until service time in Emerson Chapel.
