Harold F. Nichols, 84, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had live in Jonesboro for 46 years moving here from Benton Harbor, Michigan, was a Christian and worshipped at Greensboro Road Church of Christ. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Mae Nichols; parents, Floyd and Eathel Nichols; daughter, Margaret Ann Nichols; grandsons, James Landon Nichols, Hunter Gage Nichols and Joseph Aaron Nichols; brothers, Floyd Hutch Nichols, and Addison Marvin Nichols.
Survivors include sons, Harold Eugene “Nick” Nichols and wife Cheri, Jonesboro; Michael Lee Nichols and wife Rista, Denton, Texas; daughters, Fran Hunsucker and husband, Jim, Brazoria, Texas; Norma Jean Nichols, Jonesboro; sisters, Lavonne Francine Cox, Jonesboro; Addie Margaret Greene, Deltona, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Nichols, Cordova, Tennessee; Rodger Nichols, Mark Nichols, both of Bono; Aaron Nichols, Corpus Christi, Texas; Nathan Nichols, Dallas, Texas; Jenni Hunsucker, Brazoria; Christopher George, Jonesboro; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Greensboro Church of Christ with Brother Terry Jo Kee and Kenneth Gossett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery with Marshall Lands, Kevin Foust, Aaron Honeycutt, Mike Felts, Gerald George and Robbie Cook serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Eugene Trotter, Bill Berry, John Robertson, James Felts, Jody Pickens, Dan Nichols, Leo Barnett, Ben Honeycutt, Kenneth Harp and Cameron Mayberry. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
