Harold Wayne Clark, 83, went to his heavenly home on April, 6th at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Harold was born on March 18, 1939 in Jonesboro to W.L. "Bill" Clark Sr. and Pearl (Goforth) Clark. He was married to his wife Linda (Mayo) for 60 years. He was a wonderful husband, Daddy, Pap, brother, uncle and a great friend to many. Harold served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Jason as a Machinery Repairman (FN) from 11/14/1956-1/18/1960. He worked for J.A. Riggs Caterpillar in Jonesboro for many years. Harold enjoyed cars: driving them, working on them, racing them, watching NASCAR, and especially working on Joy Fair's race car crew. He was an avid duck hunter and loved woodworking and repairing clocks. Harold accepted Jesus as his savior when he was 12 years old. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for over 45 years and he was a member and secretary of the Agape Class. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Clark. He leaves behind: wife, Linda; daughter, Sherri (Hank) Lesley of Manila; Sister, Carolyn Christian of Jonesboro, Brother, Tom (Ronda) Clark of Shawnee, OK; Grandsons, Nathan (Kendra) Lesley of Sandia TX, Nicholas (Garlyn) Lesley of Texarkana, AR. Greatgrandchildren, Gannon, Luca, Olivia, Nikola and Sebastian Lesley of Sandia, TX. And many other beloved friends and family members. A special thanks to the NEA Hospital staff and the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House staff. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Jay Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
