Harmon Lester Glidewell, Jr.

Harmon Lester Glidewell, Jr., 68, passed from this life Saturday, August, 4, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born August 10, 1949 to

Harmon and Lena Rucker Glidewell of Jonesboro.  Harmon proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.  He was retired from Cam-fil Farr after 26 years of service.  His loves were gardening, nascar, spending time in nature and hunting with his son and grandson.

Harmon is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Glidewell.  Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jan of the home; son, Gregory and his wife, Leticia of Jonesboro; grandsons, Nathanael and Ethan Glidewell of Jonesboro; 4 brothers and their wives, David (Betty) Glidewell of Jonesboro, James (Debbie) Glidewell of Pooler, Georgia, Jerry (Becky) Glidewell of Black Rock and Michael (Jackie) Glidewell of Light; sister and her husband, Brenda (Garry) Smith of Paragould and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-7 PM.  Service will be Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11AM at the Trinity Methodist Church in Bono with Aaron Honeycutt and Fred Divittorio speaking.  Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Active Pallbearers include: Jeromie Glidewell, Marcus Hutto, Roy Condra, Carson Haynie-Wyatt, Jim Carl and Randy Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers include: David Fletcher, Charlie Honeycutt, Robbie Martin, Michael George, Terry Glidewell, Jr. and Jerry Johnson.
