Harlan C. Wood departed this life to be with Jesus on April 4, 2019 at the Lakeside Nursing Center, Lake City, Arkansas, after a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s.    Harlan was 86.  He was born March 26, 1933 to Guy and Hester Wood of Moundsville, West Virginia.   Harlan was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War Era.    He worked for many years in hardware sales traveling areas in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.   He was well liked, respected and loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Hester Wood and four sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Wood and one brother Sam Wood (Gerry) of Moundsville, W.VA.    He is also survived by his children, Ben Wood (Jo), of TX, Mary B. Ashlock (Allen) of Jonesboro, Ark, Katherine Moore (John) of Shelter Island, New York, and Matt Wood (Susan) of Dallas, Tx.   In addition, Harlan is survived by the following grandchildren, Sarah Logsdon, (Bob), Jason Ashlock, (Rita), Rachel Gross (Brian), Cana, Bethany and Moriah Moore, Keeley and Addy Wood.  In addition, Harlan is survived by five lovely great grandchildren: Miriam, Sam, Eliza and Anna Logsdon and Jack Gross.  Also survived by other extended family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
