Edith Hallene Dillier, 92, passed away on May 31, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones hospice house in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Hallene was born January 25, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Halleck and Marie Lang. Growing up Hallene inherited her love of music from her blind mother who taught piano lessons in the home. Hallene’s dream of becoming a dancer were put on hold after meeting the love of her life and future husband, Justin at a church retreat.
A devout Catholic, Hallene worked as a church secretary for years as well as providing a loving home to four children. After retiring in Heber Springs, Arkansas, Hallene and her now deceased husband Justin were very active in charity work at Cleburne County Cares, which brought them great joy and fulfillment .
Hallene was preceded in death by her parents, Halleck and Marie Lang, her siblings, loving husband, Justin, and son Mark.
Hallene is survived by her sons, Stephen and daughter in law Sue, James and daughter in law Doreen, John and daughter in law Kim; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Alberts the Great Catholic Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Interment will follow the service. Reception to immediately follow in the parish hall for family and friends.
